PowderCloud Mobile (for iOS)
Powdercloud will shortly launch a new iOS app to run on the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch series of devices. Here’s a brief preview of the new app:
Quick Access to Important Data
When you start the app, the first data you see are at-a-glance charts of historical data to help spot trends & concerns. Also presented are the most recent news and observations, so the most up to data is also at your finger tips.
Browse data in ways that suit you
With numerous ways to browse data, your regular routine is catered for. Use of the Powdercloud app does not require a Powdercloud subscription, but if you have one all your operations’ data will be synced with your device and accessible from this browse tab as well.
Keep an eye on important observations
As you set about your days work, you can quickly access observations that have been flagged as important or notable.
As these observations may span dates/locations/observers, this tab serves as a quick means of accessing important data without having to spend time searching, or browsing, by specific criteria.
Discuss Observations with your Peers
New to Powdercloud is the ability to discuss any observation with other Powdercloud users.
On this Discuss tab, you can easily follow conversations that involve you, and contribute to them further.
You can add a comment to any observation when viewing that observation (which will then appear on this tab for you to easily follow the ensuing conversation).
View/Manage Observation Data
Although a Powdercloud web app subscription is not required to record and manage observation data, if you have one, enhanced meta data about the observation will be displayed alongside it. Here are some sample shots of observation data:
Reports
Easily access mobile-enhanced reports with tabular data and charts from Powdercloud; for your own data and for public/shared data alike.
Customisable Interface
The app provides additional tabs for help content and preference settings. The appearance order of all tabs can be customised to suit your needs.
